Microsoft Project 2013 Advanced

Microsoft Project Training Courses

Microsoft Project delivers a project management system with powerful, visually enhanced ways to effectively manage a wide range of projects and programs. From meeting crucial deadlines to selecting the right resources and empowering your teams, Project Professional 2010 helps project management professionals by offering easier and more intuitive experiences to be more productive and achieve excellent results.

In this Microsoft Project Advanced training course, delegates will learn to view tasks, dependencies, and critical paths of a project using a Network Diagram. They will learn to use the Team Planner used to see and manage what work has been assigned to whom.

Project baselines are used to compare initial plans against the current project’s status. Delegates will learn to set  project baseline and interim plans, view a baseline, view an interim plan, and clear a baseline or interim plan.

Tracking progress is vital to any project's success.  In this Microsoft Project Advanced training course, delegates are shown how to use the Tracking Gantt view, track tasks using filters and grouping, view the critical path, and view task paths. Efficient resource usage allows a project to meet its goals and deadlines and sometimes resource conflicts arise and they have to be resolved. Delegates  will learn how to determine when resource conflicts exist, how to reassign resources, how to schedule overtime, and how to level resources automatically.

Project managers must keep costs under control and follow a budget, this module takes a look at some of those related skills. Delegates will learn how to set currency options, enter costs with the Resource Sheet, enter costs with the Resource Information dialog, use cost table rates, view costs, and manually update costs.

Resource pools are master lists of resources that can be used by more than one project. Delegates will learn how to create a resource pool from a single project and multiple projects, how to link a project to the resource pool or how to unlink it and how to update a resource pool. Delegates will also learn to link multiple projects together.
